Xian Yuan” Launches 'The Harvest Series',
Showcasing the Charm of GI Ingredients Through Chinese Culinary Art

Previously on IMPACT Insight, we took a look at Geographical Indication or GI products.
Many of you probably have had a chance to taste, shop, and support Thai farmers by purchasing these quality GI products, right?

But did you know? IMPACT’s mission goes beyond just buying and selling these crops to add value. We want to transform "Thai agricultural produce" into something truly extraordinary!
We aim to share the unique heritage of these products so both locals and international visitors can appreciate them. This sparked the ultimate challenge: "Showcasing GI produce through an extraordinary culinary journey."

The stars of this secret ingredient lineup feature three exceptional GI products. First is the Nakhon Chai Si Khao Namphueng Pomelo from Nakhon Pathom, celebrated for its signature sweet-and-sour taste and unique aroma. Next is the Sam Phran Red-Fleshed Guava, also from Nakhon Pathom, which offers a crisp texture, beautiful pinkish-red flesh, and a sweet scent. Rounding out the trio is the Phetchabun Sweet Tamarind from Phetchabun, famously known for its mellow sweetness that is ideal for crafting exquisite sauces and seasonings.

These exceptional ingredients have been masterfully reinterpreted by the authentic Cantonese chef at "Xian Yuan" Chinese restaurant. By infusing local charm into contemporary Cantonese culinary art, the chef has crafted 8 new exclusive dishes under “The Harvest Series” campaign.
This special campaign aims to elevate Thai ingredients into a premium dining experience while tapping into the global Soft Power trend through food, culture, and culinary tourism—using these uniquely characterized GI fruits as the main storytellers.
Through meticulous preparation, these three GI fruits—Nakhon Chai Si Khao Namphueng Pomelo, Sam Phran Red-Fleshed Guava, and Phetchabun Sweet Tamarind—have been transformed into uniquely innovative flavors. The curated creations include the Steamed Rice Noodle Rolls with Stewed Duck and Khao Namphueng Pomelo, and the Grilled BBQ Pork Ribs with Sweet Tamarind Sauce. For a refreshing finale, the dessert lineup features the Red-Fleshed Guava and Khao Namphueng Pomelo Sorbet, alongside the Sweet Osmanthus Oolong Tea and Red-Fleshed Guava Slushie.

Curiously, how else can these three exceptional GI ingredients be reimagined into special dishes? Let’s find out!

Come experience and share the story of authentic Cantonese cuisine that celebrates the valuable heritage and dedication of Thai farmers through these exceptional GI products, available from today until July 31, 2026, at Xian Yuan, Central Park Shopping Center, open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
