ISO 20121 Sustainable Events Management System
As global awareness grows regarding sustainable business practice, entrepreneurs in the future cannot only focus on the profit. Still, they must also consider the importance of contributing to solving societal and environmental problems, according to the United Nations (UN). This includes promoting economic growth (SDG 8) and taking urgent action to deal with climate changes (SDG 13) which is related to sustainability and is one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) embraced internationally.
IMPACT, one of the MICE businesses, is ready to embrace this goal through ISO 20121 or a sustainable events management system. We have conducted a training course, “ISO 20121: Sustainable Events Management System” for our management and sustainable development team, along with representatives from all relevant departments involved in the event. The training covers various topics related to sustainable management, including environmental, social, and economic aspects of activities and operational scope, to align with ISO 20121 requirements. It aims to enhance understanding and involvement of stakeholders, establish objectives, target and sustainable activity planning. The training took place in Sapphire 110 Room on 1-2 April 2024, to ensure everyone has the knowledge, understanding, and readiness to implement ISO 20121 within our organization, moving towards sustainability.
All in all, in addition to the training course, “ISO 20121: Sustainable Events Management System,” there is also another continuing course called “Internal Audit ISO 20121 Event Sustainable Management System” which will be held on 25-26 April 2024, to allow participants to have a better understanding, be able to plan, evaluate, and conduct a report, and follow the evaluation result in ISO 20121 system properly.
