The (not so) secret joy of the green space creator
around IMPACT Muang Thong Thani

Did you know that every tree around IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, especially in the landmark area in front of the 'IMPACT Arena,' contributes to a vibrant, beautiful, and shady atmosphere for all visitors, thanks to the dedication of key team members?"

Today, IMPACT Insight would like to unveil the (not so) secret joy of the person behind the creation of this green space, Khun Rungphet Yimcharoen, Senior Staff - Landscape & Sanitation City Management, who ensures that IMPACT Muang Thong Thani remains green all year round.

Sunlight streams through the wooden slats of the nursery behind the spirit house. Many people might not know that at the end of the path lies a small nursery, covering an area of about 2-3 rai, filled with neatly arranged young plants. Here, you can see Khun Rungpetch's focused expression and smile as he carefully fertilizes and loosens the soil for each seedling.

Khun Rungpetch shares with a smile that he started working with IMPACT 16 years ago. Throughout his time here, he has felt happy because he has been doing what he loves.

His main responsibility is taking care of all the plants in the plant house around IMPACT’s area including IMPACT Lakefront. Currently, he is responsible for various types of plants, including flowering plants, ornamental plants, and different trees—over 20 species in total, such as Areca palms, Yellow palms, Rhapis palms, Money plants, and Ficus trees. His latest task includes helping manage the organic vegetable plots located in Soi C12, a challenging yet joyful job as he gets to see the produce he planted bloom and bear fruit.

When you read up to this point, it may seem that his job of taking care of the plants is simple. However, it involves planning, fertilizing, loosening the soil, and pruning. It is not a job for everyone, as it requires experience and close attention because each plant needs different care.

Khun Rungpetch emphasized that the key to taking care of plants is "attention to every detail". The most challenging aspect is reviving plants to make them strong again.

Although his role might be small, Khun Rungpetch feels proud and is fully committed to being a small cog that helps beautify IMPACT with lovely plants, making this second home impressive for every visitor."

For Khun Rungpetch, seeing the smiles of visitors enjoying the shade and colors of the plants and flowers
is a source of pride and happiness he carries home every day."

The story of Khun Rungpetch might inspire us and shed light on another side of the dedicated individuals behind IMPACT, individuals filled with dedication and pride in their jobs.
