IMPACT Muang Thong Thani’s smart city implementation
gets bolder with new AI – CCTV technologies
Venue transformation is not a new buzzword for us. IMPACT Muang Thong Thani adopted the smart city model about a decade ago believing it would make the city thrive through the application of cutting-edge innovations and technologies that improve the quality of life. Fast forward to today, Bangkok Land Co., Ltd, managing 4,000 rais of land in this golden city, is evolving into intelligent environments that make urban living smarter and more efficient.
Bangkok Land debuts a new project dubbed “Smart Safety Zone 4.0” that involves the application of AI – CCTV to streamline traffic management around the venue as well as prepare for the opening of the two Pink Line train stations at Muang Thong Thani Station (MT01) and Muang Thong Lake Station (MT02,) which is slated to become operational in May 2025.
The Smart Safety Zone 4.0 project will enhance community safety by placing more CCTV cameras to deter crime, analyze, detect, and identify patterns in traffic in real time, and enable patron officers to respond to incidents and emergencies faster. The first phrase of the project will be completed by March 2025.
The smart city model will bring significant benefits to residents, exhibitors, convention goers, concert attendees, and visitors while promoting the growing practice of connecting traditional infrastructure to smart technology to make Muang Thong Thani flourish.
