Muang Thong Thani" officially certified as a "smart city promotional zone" by depa

             This marks a major milestone and a proud moment for all of us at Muang Thong Thani.
             Most recently, the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) has officially granted smart city promotional zone certification to the "Muang Thong Thani: Living Smart City" project, spearheaded by IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd.


      Khun Paul Kanjanapas said, "This achievement goes beyond mere official recognition; it stands as a significant milestone demonstrating Muang Thong Thani's journey toward the future. By integrating advanced technology and sustainable urban management practices, we are committed to fostering a living environment that is highly livable, safe, and efficient."

What is a smart city promotional zone?

             A smart city promotional zone is a designated zone officially certified to drive smart city development, aiming to transform the area into a full-fledged Smart City. Its main objectives are:
1.Promoting the application of digital technology and innovation to benefit the economy, society, culture, and security within the industrial and service sectors.
2.Fostering workforce and digital citizen development within the area.
3.Preparing and laying down guidelines for full-scale smart city development.
             Simply put, Muang Thong Thani is now being actively supported by the government to drive urban development through technology, digital infrastructure, and innovation—all to enhance the quality of life and boost the local economy in our community.

Key Benefits and Support Gained as a smart city promotional zone

            Once designated as a smart city promotional zone, Muang Thong Thani will receive key benefits and support, including:
1.Policy Support: Receiving active promotion, guidance, and consultation to drive and develop the smart city through collaboration across public and private networks.
2.BOI Investment Privileges: Area and smart system developers are eligible to apply for BOI investment promotion, which includes corporate income tax exemptions for up to 8 years (subject to BOI criteria) alongside other support measures.
3.Other Benefits: Gaining preparation in technology and innovation to pave the way toward full certification as a complete "Smart City" in the next phase.
4.Enhanced Confidence and Appeal: Building trust, attracting investments, and reinforcing our international-standard urban development image to help draw in new investors and partners, both domestically and internationally.
