IMPACT and STOU Partner to Upskill MICE Professionals

IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, recognized as Thailand and Southeast Asia's No. 1 exhibition and convention center, therefore prioritizes continuous personnel development.

Just this past January, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with eight leading universities. This agreement aims to provide internship opportunities for students, with the goal of developing personnel for the MICE market sustainably.
In the latest development, Ms. Thamita Chongsawasvorakul, Director of Corporate Human Resources at IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., and Assistant Professor Dr. Phanomphat Smitanont, University Council Member and Acting President of Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for academic cooperation.
The objectives of this MOU are multifaceted, aiming to:
- Enhance teaching and learning methodologies
- Develop relevant curricula
- Foster student development
- Facilitate collaborative research
- Promote academic staff exchange
- Strengthen overall academic cooperation
This collaboration builds on the prior success where faculty members from STOU's School of Liberal Arts were invited to manage the English language training program for IMPACT's Food & Beverage staff. The positive feedback from this initial initiative led to the expansion of the partnership, culminating in this MOU signing.
This agreement not only promotes a long-term relationship and mutual organizational support but also effectively links "academics" with "practical application." This integration will lead to concrete personnel development by adopting a "human capital" development concept through continuous learning.
