IMPACT Empowers Workforce with ISO 20121 Standard Training
to Drive Organizational Sustainability

On October 8–9, 2026, the Standards Control Department hosted a training course titled “Interpretation of ISO 20121:2024 Requirements for Event Sustainability Management Systems.” The session aimed to enhance understanding of sustainable event management standards among IMPACT personnel. Representatives from all departments actively participated, reflecting the organization’s continuous commitment to workforce development.
Because sustainability begins with understanding and thrives on collaboration, every individual in the organization plays a vital role.
The primary objective of the training was to help employees understand the principles of sustainable event management and effectively apply the ISO 20121 standard to enhance operational systems. Participants learned to identify and engage with key stakeholders, establish sustainability targets, and assess and manage Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) impacts. Furthermore, the course emphasized integrating sustainable practices into event design, procurement, operations, and communications to foster overall event sustainability.
The training provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of the ISO 20121:2024 requirements, emphasizing event management that prioritizes environmental, social, and economic impacts.
Throughout the two-day session, the dynamic learning environment combined theoretical lectures with interactive small-group workshops. This hands-on approach allowed participants to analyze requirements, exchange ideas, and gain practical insights, effectively preparing them to apply their knowledge to daily operations.

This capability-building initiative marks another step forward in elevating work processes to align with sustainable event management principles. It also fosters engagement across all organizational levels to drive responsible and sustainable corporate growth.
