It’s been ages since our last peer interview. We are super dope to feature an interview of a lovable lady a.k.a Joy from the food and beverage department.
Please introduce yourself and your job responsibility
Hello, my name is Arisa Pongsanam or Joy, and I have been working as an assistant catering manager at the Food & Beverage Department for 17 years and 6 months.
My primary responsibility involves coordinating with customers and colleagues from other departments to get the work done in a timely manner. Other duties include issuing documents, monitoring event’s expenses via the EBMS system, writing a report, gathering information, and arranging a meeting with associated teams before, during, and after an event in addition to assisting my supervisor in planning innovative event format ideas and taking care of food and beverage for seminars, ceremonies, parties, weddings, and outdoor events.
Currently, our catering team have 9 employees on staff. They are all capable of executing tasks assigned by the supervisor. Organizing wedding events is my speciality.
What is your work motto and how to be happy at work?
My work motto is “Learn from Your Mistakes” and analyze your mistakes to avoid repeating the same mistakes in the future. Plus, I try to keep learning to improve my performance.
To be happy at work? Well…. I try to stay positive and happy with what I do. Try to find what you like and what you are good at, then focus on it. When you are happy and passionate about what you do, customers and people around you can feel the energy, and it shines out.
In the end, it will lead to effective and successful work performance.
Khun Joy Arisa is our cup of tea. We hope that everyone gets to know her better and take her way of thinking and work perspective as a model to work happily.
